Who is responsible

The RCAC Grand Prix results service is operated by ShaZam Racing on behalf of RC Athletic Club. ShaZam Racing is the data controller for the results published here and can be reached at brad@shazamracing.com.

What we publish

• Athlete name, gender, and age as supplied by race registration and timing files.
• Finish time, pace, age-graded time and percentage, division, and place.
• Grand Prix points and cumulative series standings.

We do not publish addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information. Athletes under 18 are shown by first name and last initial only.

Why we publish it

Results are published to administer and score the Grand Prix series, determine award eligibility, and provide the public record of competition that participants expect when they enter a race. Participants agree to results publication as part of race registration; where consent is the basis, it can be withdrawn at any time using the contact below.

Signing in with Google and Google API Services

Athletes and administrators may create an account using "Sign in with Google". When you choose that option, Google shares only your basic profile information with us — your name, email address, language preference, and profile picture URL. We never receive or store your Google password.

We use that information for one purpose only: to create and secure your RCAC Grand Prix account so you can submit and manage a claim to your race results. We do not use Google user data for advertising, to build advertising profiles, to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or for any purpose unrelated to signing you in and operating this results service. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except to our authentication and hosting providers acting as our processors, when required by law, or to protect against fraud, abuse, security issues, or technical problems.

RCAC Grand Prix's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Human access to Google user data is restricted to the small number of series administrators who need it to review profile claims and support accounts. You can revoke this app's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, and you can ask us to delete your account data by emailing the address below.

Account deletion

To delete your account and any associated Google sign-in data, email brad@shazamracing.com from the address on the account. We remove the account and its profile claim within 30 days. Published race results are separate from your account and remain part of the public series record unless you also request their removal.

Cookies and browser storage

This site uses no advertising, profiling, or third-party tracking cookies. Administrators and athletes who sign in have a session token stored in their own browser so they stay signed in; that token is removed on sign-out. Visitors who dismiss the privacy banner have a single preference flag stored locally.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. Race results for athletes under 18 are shown by first name and last initial only. A parent or guardian may contact us to review or remove a minor's information.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, stored with access controls that limit editing to authorized administrators, and protected by multi-factor authentication on administrator accounts.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal or Google user data, we will update this page and revise the date shown above.

How long we keep it

Results are part of the historical record of the series and are retained for as long as the Grand Prix archive is published, unless removal is requested. Administrator accounts are kept only while the person administers the series.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your results, object to their publication, or withdraw consent. Email brad@shazamracing.com with your name and the race concerned and we will respond within 30 days. A parent or guardian may make a request on behalf of a minor. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where the data is stored

Results are stored with our hosting and database providers and are served publicly on this website. Access to edit results is limited to authorized series administrators.
